Can I reserve a spot at the RV Park for only one night?
No. Reservations at the RV Park are for a minimum of three nights: Friday and Saturday, August 30 and 31, and Sunday, September 1, 2019. RVs are to arrive no later than Friday, August 30, 2019.
Can I add a night if I decide to arrive sooner?
Yes. Just call 819-243-2331, extension 1-8-1 to make your arrangements.
Can I reserve a spot for a friend who will be arriving later then me?
No. RVers who want to park next to each other must arrive at the same time.
Can I reserve two or more spots at the same time?
No. A reservation corresponds to one spot, and must be in the name of the person who will be using it.
How do I pick up my wristbands for the Festival?
Bring your invoice (electronic or paper copy) and a piece of ID to the Domaine des caravaniers reception booth at 1089 rue Jacques-Cartier, in Gatineau. An agent will give you your occupancy permit, your parking sticker, your wristbands and any other products listed on your invoice.
Can I pick my spot?
No. Spots are assigned on a first come first served basis.
Can I park a second vehicle on my spot?
Yes. You will need to pay for an additional parking sticker. In addition to the RV, a maximum of two cars are permitted per spot.
Can I pitch a tent on my spot?
Yes. As long as your RV and the tent fit within the spot.
Can I receive visitors at my spot during my stay?
Yes. But if your visitors want to go to the Festival, they will need to buy wristbands at one of the entrances to the Festival.
How large is a spot?
Each spot is 25 feet by 50 feet (7.62 m by 15.24 m). You can pitch a tent on a spot with an RV as long as they fit within the boundaries and meet the fire department’s specifications. You can also rent a spot for a tent only. There is no limit on the number of festival-goers per spot, but people are expected to show consideration for those nearby.
Is the RV Park located close to the entrance to the Festival?
Yes. The RV Park and the Festival are both at parc de la Baie. You will be at most a 10 minute walk from the nearest entrance, depending on the location of your spot. There is a free shuttle service, which takes people from different parts of the RV Park to the Festival.
Do the spots have utilities (water and hydro)?
No. This is a municipal park that we take over for the Festival. But when you arrive, we will fill up your RV’s water tank for free, and you can use your generator between 8 and 9 a.m., noon and 1 p.m., and 5 and 6:30 p.m.
Are there showers at the RV Park?
No. But you can use the showers at the Centre sportif de Gatineau (850 boulevard de la Gappe). They are available Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Centre sportif is a 10 minute bike ride away, or you can take an STO bus (la Cité stop). The showers and the shuttles are services offered to festival-goers wearing a valid wristband.
Are there toilets at the RV Park?
Yes. There are approximately 30 chemical toilets around the site.
Is there a pump-out service?
Yes. A mobile pump-out and water fill-up service is available from Friday, August 30 to Monday, September 2, 2019 (schedules and rates to be announced).
Are there wastewater pump-out stations at the Rv Park?
Yes. There are approximately ten stations.
Are there picnic tables at the RV Park?
No. But there are picnic tables at the Festival.
Can I use my generator?
Yes, every day from 8 to 9 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Are barbecues permitted?
Yes, but only propane barbecues.
Can I light a bonfire?
No. The only fires permitted are those in propane barbecues.
Can I bring my dog, my cat or any other pet to the RV Park?
Yes, as long as they are kept on a leash at all times on the grounds of the RV Park. They must not disturb others or cause problems, and you must pick up their droppings. However, please note that no animals are permitted on the Festival grounds!
